About Me

Howdy y’all, I’m Reed Whitaker but my friends call me Rev. I love cars, my country, and my family. I’ve been into cars since I was a little kid.
As soon as I was out of the crib, my parents put me in one of those corny, red 1980s racecar beds. To this day I still miss my big plastic bin full of Hot Wheels. Once we were old enough to appreciate it, my dad would take my brother and me to local car shows.
This is when my passion for all things automotive really began. My dad would point out all the cars he used to love when he was in high school. His favorites were always the GTOs. I was drawn to the Chevelles and Camaros myself.
He’d tell us stories about driving around with his friends in the ’60s. I couldn’t get enough of it. I’ll never forget the sounds, smells, and stories about those old muscle cars.

As I grew up all I ever talked about was cars. I couldn’t wait until high school so I could have a muscle car of my own. What I didn’t realize was that old muscle cars are a lot of work!
Looking back, I’m glad I didn’t get a classic muscle car as my first car. Those classic cars are not the most practical first car for a teen learning how to drive. I ended up buying a 1994 Camaro Z28.
It was bright teal metallic with t-tops. I spent all of my part time job money on upgrades for it. I learned a ton about working on cars at the time. I would research all the best parts and tools, which at the time meant reading a lot of magazines!
My love for cars and my natural urge to tinker came together, becoming my new hobby. Now I hope to use my knowledge and experience to help others find the best parts and products for their vehicles.

See you on the road,
Rev
